Video of violent finish to Saturday's NASCAR Truck race
Video of the violent 12-truck wreck which erupted at the conclusion of Saturday's NASCAR Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Another race at Talladega... another ho humm afternoon of tandem drafting until yet another huge crash and burn on the last lap... Do the folks at NASCAR really think this is "good racin?" Glad I decided to ignore this crap...
29 official lead changes in a 250-mile race, 20 or more Trucks fighting for the lead every lap, the top six three abreast for the entire last lap.
How do you come to the conclusion that this wasn't superior racing? Because they tandem drafted a lot? There is NO credible reason to criticize tandem drafting, especially given how it's evolved almost all the way back to conventional pack racing (you did notice the push-truck in a tandem bail out and pass the leader as soon as they got into the clear, didn't you?)
silicon28 needs to change his opinion because he's wrong to hold the one he has.
When will the owners finally have enough of this madness. EVERY plate race has a green, white, checker crash fest. The cost must be unreal. Teams are just throwing money out the window that could be used for better reasons than this.

ReplyDeleteJames - the cost isn't greater than Martinsville or Bristol, and the racing in restrictor plate racing is superior to both by any measure.
