Video of the sledgehammer throwing incident in Saturday's NASCAR race

Ty Dillon and Kevin Harvick were involved in a late-race wreck on the track that spilled over onto pit road at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday. And then the pit crews got involved, which included a sledgehammer being thrown at Harvick's truck.

Darrell Wallace Jr. won the race, becoming the first African-American driver to win a NASCAR national series race since Wendell Scott won in Jacksonville, Fla., in 1963.

  2. Once a jerk, always a jerk, Harvick will never change. He is a smart azz hothead and he runs his mouth without thinking. He's leaving RCR because of the "rich" Dillon boys? What a bunch of bull that is. The Dillon boys have more class in their pinkies than Kevin has in his whole body. Just look at how many cheap shot incidents he has been involved in over the years. It is easy to figure out the common denominator.

    1. Harvick has more class and talent than all the RCR people combined. RC himself is a fat old crybaby.

  3. Glad to see Harvick is leaving that toxic shop called RCR. The spoiled brat grandkids of crazy Richard Childress will be the top 2 drivers in the shop based on blood rather than talent. RCR stinks since Sr passed away. Harvick was the only chance they had at any taste of glory. Now the old man is going to bring up the cowboy hat wearing dork and put the #3 on his car? What a slap in the face to the Intimidator's legacy. Hope to see RCR wallow in mediocrity going forward. They deserve it.

  4. I'm a little amazed at the vitriol aimed at Childress, since the Dillon boys have actually shown some genuine racing ability and Harvick is clearly on the downward slide. Harvick's bully-boy attitude (a depressingly common sight in the modern Cup garage area) showed again.
